  • How to Use a Bill of Lading (BOL)

    Prep the Book: Flip open the book from the top stub, and slide the attached wrap-around cover under the pink sheet of your active set to protect the forms underneath.

    Log the Freight: Complete the 8 commodity rows in clean black ink, marking pallet counts, descriptions, weights, and any hazardous materials (HazMat).

    Shipper Sign-Off: Have the shipper sign at loading. Tear the top white sheet (Original - Shipper's Copy) along the crisp top perforation and hand it to them.

    Delivery Sign-Off: Have the receiver sign upon arrival. Tear out the yellow sheet (Carrier Copy) for your billing department and leave the pink sheet (Consignee Copy) inside the book or hand it to the receiver.
